P•olychromatic: having various or changing colours.
As it usually happens with many other authors nowadays, I first found out about the works of Marco Mazzoni [1982, Tortona (Italy) ] through social networks. What I found really amazing about this italian illustrator is that he just uses coloured pencils to create his naturalistic portraits.
He shows us a deep interest in flora and fauna. For that reason, most of his works have a classic touch (more typical of the 16th century) that he manages to mix with a contemporary interpretation of some aspects of the human existence.
Al igual que pasa con muchos otros artistas hoy en día, conocí el trabajo de Marco Mazzoni [ 1982, Tortona ] a través de las redes sociales. Lo que me pareció realmente resaltable de este ilustrador italiano es que únicamente utiliza lápices de colores para crear sus retratos naturalistas.
Muestra un profundo interés en la flora y fauna, y debido a eso, sus trabajos tienen un toque clásico, quizás más propio del siglo XVI, que él logra mezclar con interpretación contemporánea de ciertos aspectos de la existencia humana.
