The work of Ashkan Honarvar [1980, Iran] talks about identity, sexuality and many other aspects of the human existence. It dissects, juxtaposes and faces powerful images about landscape, vegetation or fauna within human relationships by using strong metaphors.
He has participated in group exhibitions with many other great collage artists such as Max-o-matic or Charles Wilkin (I will talk about them in later posts) as well as solo exhibitions in Usa, Canada or Netherlands. He is part of “Secret Behaviour” issue #1, a contemporary art publication focused on the human condition.
El trabajo de Ashkan Honarvar [1980, Iran] habla sobre identidad o sexualidad así como otros muchos aspectos de la existencia humana. Disecciona, yuxtapone y enfrenta poderosas imágenes de paisajes, vegetación o fauna con actos propiamente humanos, dando lugar a fuertes metáforas.
